Oops....He Did It Again....

Can't believe that my husband didn't learn from his past experience in Saigon.  He wore his favorite Timberland shoes (which has been with him for more than 10 years and he wears it averagely once a year) to this Europe trip.

Half way through "admiring" the beautiful  windmills in the Netherlands.....
His all-time favorite Timberland decided to packed-in...
:D.... Don't worry, our next stop was the clog maker
But he didn't like the clogs at all :D
We worried about his shoes the whole day, finally he found a pair of shoes in Geneva airport which costs him CHF199 (about RM780, no wonder he complained of toothache :D).

Well, again, lesson to learn, when you have a pair of favorite shoes or expensive shoes that is not suitable to wear in your own country, in order to frequent it enough (so that the shoes' leather or glue won't get harden), you have to at least travel to a cold country once in three months :D.

The most expensive pair of shoes that he has ever purchased :D

Kings Cross

During one of our trips to Sydney, Peter and I wanted to explore the “sleazy side” of the city.  Therefore, we took a cap to the famous red light district – Kings Cross.

Kings Cross, Sydney
I still remember clearly, once we opened the taxi door upon arriving at Kings Cross, immediately a huge size man with gangster look and tattoos on his body approached us for “sexy show” in his club.  As a first-timer to Kings Cross, we looked at each other and didn’t know what to do.  The huge man continued to persuade us and pulled us across the road to his club.  Seems like no choice because of his scary body size, tattoos and face, luckily the offered price was quite reasonable, we hesitatingly agreed.  He stamped our hands with the club stamp immediately.  We paid money and he wanted to lead us in, my hubby said, “Excuse me, can we have dinner first and come back later?” “Sure! of course!” Wah…. He allowed us to have dinner, what a relief :D  We had a quick dinner and returned to the club.  The show was not bad…. I think we didn’t get conned :D We just didn’t like the part that we didn’t get a chance to choose the club and show that we like :(.

Exactly one year later, we were back in Sydney again.  Since we didn’t get the choice to choose the club that we like the last time, we decided to revisit Kings Cross.  This time, we told ourselves we have to be firm and not to follow any stupid gangster.

When we arrived at Kings Cross, true enough, same thing happened again.  A few gangsters look alike approached us for “sexy show”.  We told them we were there for dinner only (what a smart answer :D).

We had a slow and relax dinner, after dinner, we walked along the street and slowly look at each of the clubs and pictures of their “sexy shows”.  Finally we both agreed to go in one that looked more “appetizing” among all (and definitely not the same one that we got forced in one year ago).  We paid and sat down to enjoy the show.

After about 10 mins, I asked my husband, “How come the girl and the show so familiar one? It’s the same as last year’s show…. Are you sure we are in a different club?”

“I am sure this is a different club, last year we went to the one across the road. May be this girl resigned from the other club and joined this one.  Wait lah… may be there will be different shows later.”

15 mins later, a different girl came out, she was familiar looking too and we have watched her performed before. 30 mins later, confirmed we watched all the girls and shows one year ago! All exactly the same (and don’t tell me they all resigned from the other club)!!

We walked out from the club, standing on the street, we observed a few show girls walking from club to club.  Ah…. Then only we realized their “modus operandi ” :D Haha!! Silly us!!
